1978

In-flight catering services were first introduced at Noi Bai when Noi Bai International Airport began operating commercial flights. In the early stage, the catering unit at Noi Bai was part of the airport, and later became the Catering Team under the Aviation Trading Enterprise.

1998

The joint venture project was dissolved due to unfavorable business conditions in the Southeast Asia region at that time.

1994

Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VNA) and SERVAIR Catering Company (Switzerland/France) established the Noi Bai Airline Catering Joint Venture Company, which was intended to replace the Noi Bai Catering Production and Processing Enterprise.

1998

The joint venture project was dissolved due to unfavorable business conditions in the Southeast Asia region at that time.

2004

In implementation of the State policy on equitization of State-owned enterprises, Vietnam Airlines Corporation sold 40% of the shares of the Noi Bai Catering Production and Processing Enterprise to employees of the enterprise and external investors. Noi Bai Catering Services Joint Stock Company (NCS) was officially established, with major shareholders including: Vietnam Airlines holding 60% of the shares, SASCO holding 10%, and Vietnam Air Caterers holding 1.7%.

2007

Noi Bai Catering Services Joint Stock Company completed the construction and commenced operations of a new catering production facility, replacing the old facility located in an area subject to clearance under the master plan of Noi Bai International Airport.

2008

NCS surpassed the milestone of 3 million meals per year for the first time.

Năm 2009

NCS welcomed Malaysia Airlines as its thirteenth regular customer.

2010

NCS was awarded the title of Best In-flight Catering Company 2009–2010 by Korean Air. In the same year, NCS welcomed three new regular customers: Mekong Air, Qatar Airways, and LOT Polish Airlines.

2011

NCS was awarded by Malaysia Airlines the title “Outstanding Airline Catering Company in Food Safety and Halal Standards 2010.” In the same year, Vietnam Airlines Corporation honored NCS with the title “Best Airline Catering Company in Vietnam 2011.”

2012

For the second consecutive time, NCS was awarded by Vietnam Airlines Corporation the title “Airline Catering Company with the Best Service Quality in Vietnam 2012.” At the same time, NCS also received the title “Best Airline Catering Company 2012” presented by China Airlines.

2013

NCS was awarded the title of “Outstanding In-flight Catering Company” by Japan Airlines and Asiana Airlines.

2014

NCS received the title “Best Airline Catering Company 2014” awarded by Japan Airlines.

2015

NCS was voted by Asiana Airlines as “Best Airline Catering Company in Asia 2015.”

2016

NCS was honored with the Special Commendation Award 2016 by Japan Airlines in recognition of its achievement as the only catering company to maintain absolute food safety standards for three consecutive years.
